Changeable conditions and high winds are making life tough for Anna Maria Island fisherman at the moment, most days the boats have not set out. When the wind does drop and the boats make it out on the water, however, most of the captains are reporting good but varied catches.
That said there are still plenty of speckled trout, mangrove snapper, redfish, flounder, black sea bass, Spanish mackerel, grouper, and bluefish finding their way into the boats.
Here's hoping for some better weather soon...
