Those in the know are flagging up the great inshore grouper action to be had at the moment in and around Anna Maria Sound. With the water temperature dropping the fish that were in 80 feet and deeper have migrated in to 30 and 40 feet and are reachable on half-day fishing trips.
Elsewhere, captains are reporting flounder in the bays in good numbers and big trout moving to the flats from deeper haunts.
